There is a need to spread Mahatma Gandhi ji's ideas and views among students and people to live peacefully and harmoniously in the era of globalisation and modernisation. Mahatma Gandhi ji always says "The future depends on what we do in the present" and he stood it for what he said too. He stood for peace, equality and nonviolence. He shaked the world by his gentle love and inspired the world being an epitome of leading simple life and owning kindness, compassion and patience throughout his life.
Gandhi Study Centre (GSC) is the first of its kind in the state of Arunachal Pradesh to spread his institutions across the state's institutes and industries. The centre is inaugurated today by His Excellency, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Brig.(Dr.) B.D.Mishra (Retd) to commorate on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayati 2018. The centre conducts various programmes like workshops, conferences, seminars, symposia, painting/poster/essay competitions, drama, outreach orientation programmes, peace camps and rallies, certificate courses, etc on Gandhian ideology in and outside of NIT Arunachal Pradesh. It will also establish digital library and museum in the near future with the help of His Excellency, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Brig.(Dr.) B.D.Mishra (Retd).
I immensely extend my gratitude to His Excellency, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Brig.(Dr.) B.D.Mishra (Retd) for his support in establishing the centre at NIT Arunachal Pradesh.
I wish the centre to be successful and professional on sowing Gandhian institutional seeds among students and people of Arunachal Pradesh.
